We already have over 15 entries in for Novemeber and these will be migrating onto the main platform over the next few days. Closing date for November entries is 30 November.
The November Winners Announcement Party will be in early December.

There will be a second repeat of the special tour of the UWA sims that covers the history of 3D works at UWA, how the UWA simns came into being, ley moments in development, as well at how teaching and research is conducted. This repeat is being conducted to accomodate a request from a New Zealand Educators Group

The tour will conclude with a stop at the UWA 3D Art & Design Display platform, which displays some stunning artworks by some of SL's best artists!

November Entries Open & Another Prize Announced!

November entries have already started streaming in, the early ones will be displayed temporarily on the upper platform - take the rainbow tunnel up from the lounge area next to the Art & Design landing pavillion.

The October winners will be announced 5am SLT Sunday 8th November at the UWA Art & Design Platform on UWA sim. You have until then to cast your vote in the People's Choice Award for the October Imagine entries (there are 39 entries to choose from!). The voting panel is next to the Imagine entrance. The People's Choice Award winner will receive L$500 at the October Winners Announcement Party.

YET ANOTHER NEW PRIZE ANNOUNCED

FOR NOVEMBER ONLY at the moment, an Artist Book Prize is being awarded. Juanita Deharo who owns Second Edition group is offering a L$2000 prize for an 'artist book' .

"An 'artists book' is an artwork in a book format, or an artwork which has its origin in the form or concept of the book."

You can interpret this in any way you want. The works will be judged by a panel from Second Edition group. This prize may be ongoing. Method of entry will be the same as for the IMAGINE & FLAGSHIP Challenges.

We are looking forward to seeing what this special prize will bring in the way of entries... please tell all your book mad friends about this opportunity.

Introducing the UWA 3d A&D People's Choice Award

Introducing the UWA 3D Art & Design Challenge People's Choice Award voting panel - going live on 1st November.


EDIT: Please note this Award is in ADDITION to the current panel judged prizes and is meant to be a fun way to be involved - if people start TPing in their entire friends list we will review the existence of this People's Choice.

Come to the Art & Design Challenge landing point and cast your vote for your favourite entry this month. You register your vote by touching the image of the work you like best - one vote per person please. If you vote more than once all your votes will be discounted.
This voting panel will go up each month for the days between the closing of the month's entries and the announcement of the winners.

The People's Choice winner will receive a L$500 prize at the winners' announcement party - this month is on Sunday November 8th at 5am SLT at the UWA 3d Art & Design display platform.

So come cast your vote and see the amazing variety of stunningly creative works submitted this month.

While you are there hop over to the Flagship building challenge platform and check out the 10, yes ten!, entries we got this month. Six of the builds are available via the TP panels on the main Flaghship platform.

Jokaydia Comes to UWA

Edumeet@Jokaydia is coming on a field trip to UWA this weekend...

Sunday 1st November, 6pm Perth Time
Jokay Wollongong and the crew from Jokaydia will be meeting up with JayJay Zfanwe and quadrpop Lane for a tour of the UWA in SL sims.
Lasting only one hour this field trip will only have time togive glimpses of the work being done at UWA in SL... so we expect some return visits!
