Lumiere Noir, Creator of the Ivory Tower - Guest Speaker at Grand Finale 10th October

UWA is honoured that the legendary Lumiere Noir, creator of the Ivory Tower Library of Primitives, has agreed to be Guest Speaker of Honour at the Grand Finale Ceremony of the UWA 3D Art & Design Challenge & MachinimUWA II: Art of the Artists, at the 200seater UWA-BOSL Amphitheatre, from 6am slt, Sunday, 10th October.

Grand Finale winners will be announced for the IMAGINE Challenge, the FLAGSHIP Challenge, and the People's Choice Awards, as well as for MachinimUWA II: Art of the Artists.

Jayjay Zifanwe spoke at the Virtual Worlds Conference 2010, run by Open University, United Kingdom.

The Virtual World Conference is a one-day conference exploring the uses of virtual worlds for learning, collaborative work and business. The event will be held on 15th September 2010 and hosted entirely in Second Life, where 21 international speakers from across the globe will showcase innovation and applications within Virtual Worlds in order to debate key issues together with a worldwide audience.

NicoleX Moonwall's 'FRAMES': for MachinimUWA II

"Frames" depicts the SL UWA exhibit, 'the Chamber' (by Gingered Alsop) through the eyes of two women, one caught in the 'frames' of her life, the other dancing her way
through the many 'frames' that we experience and remember.

"Frames" was filmed in a one-shot sweep, the NicoleX way.
